Color in the Catskills II

After a successful inaugural event in 2008, Color in the Catskills is back at Hunter Mountain, NY in October. This year's event should be especially appealing to every type of BMW rider:

MAX BMW Dual Sport School On Saturday, October 3, join TEAM MAX BMW riders for a dual sport school. This is a perfect opportunity for airhead GS, F650 GS, R1200 GS/Adv, XChallenge and G 450X riders to venture off-road and practice their skills. Sign-up for this school is at the event only.

MAX BMW Welcomes the National Demo Truck On Saturday, October 3, the holy grail of motorcycling is coming to Hunter Mountain to offer demo rides of all of the most current models BMW has to offer. Sign-up for this school is at the event only.

NETRA Cidah Run Dual Sport Ride

The King Phillip Trail Riders are putting on the Cidah Run this year in New Hampshire and MAX BMW is a proud sponsor. Like most NETRA events, this is a well-organized and well-attended ride. The ride will begin at Tenney Mountain Ski Area in Plymouth, NH.

Black River Stages RallyMoto and Adventure Ride

There's something for everyone at Black River Stages this year. In addition to the action of two days of car and motorcycle competition, the organizers have scheduled a dual-sport adventure ride for Saturday along with some additional perks. Headquartered in the far reaches of upstate New York, the Black River Stages Rally offers four levels of involvement this year:

1. Volunteer. Without volunteers to work checkpoints and scoring, rallies just don't happen. With motorcycles comprising over half of the entries, we need to do our part. Volunteers receive unparalleled access to the course, a free t-shirt and food, and the thanks and appreciation of a rally's worth of car drivers and motorcycle riders.

2. Spectate. If you just want to make a day trip to see some of the action, for a small fee you can get a wristband to give you access to the pits and spectator areas and a printed spectator guide.

3. Adventure Ride. Not ready for RallyMoto, but want some good dual sport riding and special access to the event? Sign up for the Adventure Rally and you can navigate Dakar-style through the reaches of northern NY with your friends at your own pace, receive an event T-shirt, and event sticker, a wristband to give you full access to the pits and spectator areas, a printed spectator guide, admittance to the awards ceremony and banquet on Sunday night and a BBQ dinner in the pits on Saturday evening.

4. RallyMoto. BRS is the perfect event for first-time RallyMoto competitors. If you're a good dual sport rider who has been considering entering the world of RallyMoto, this is your event. It is, in fact, where many of the TEAM MAX BMW riders competed in RallyMoto for the first time. If you're interested in joining TEAM MAX BMW for Black River Stages, please contact Max or Ben.
